Doris Hexsel, MD
Dr. Hexsel is a board-certified dermatologist in private practice in Porto Alegre and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and head investigator at the Brazilian Center for Studies in Dermatology. A graduate of the School of Medicine at the Passo Fundo University, she was a professor of dermatology at that institution for 10 years.
Dr. Hexsel is the author of numerous articles, chapters, abstracts, and posters and is an editor of 5 dermatology textbooks, including Cosmetic Use of Botulinum Toxin (AGE), Cosmetic Surgery in Darker Racial Ethnic Groups (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins), Cellulite: Pathophysiology and Treatment (Taylor & Francis), and Cosmetic Dermatology (in
press). She is a reviewer for Annals of Dermatology (Brazil), serves on the editorial board of Cosmetic Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery Journal. She is in the Board of Directors of the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery and is an active member of both the Brazilian and American Societies of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. She gave the Botulinum Toxin Advanced Lecture at the most recent World Congress of Dermatology.
